I am extraordinarily excited to join the NowSecure team as CEO. The company has done a superb job of developing and delivering best-in-class security testing solutions for mobile applications. Last year the company grew by more than 100 percent due to the support of our customers and the dedication of our team.
The primary reasons I joined NowSecure were the team and the software, which help organizationes assess the security of custom and third-party mobile apps more quickly than ever before. The company’s impressive roster of Fortune 500 and government customers testifies to both the market demand and the benefits of the solution.
We deliver a critical solution to address the challenges of mobile app security. Our products and services give security teams and developers the power to be pro-active. For example, NowSecure truly integrates security with the mobile app development lifecycle — putting rapid, accurate automated mobile app security testing right into existing agile and DevOps workflows.
One of the clearest challenges of mobile security is the speed at which mobile devices and apps multiply within today’s enterprise. Trying to keep up is a major challenge, and mobile security expertise is hard to come by. Enterprises need help, and NowSecure provides security teams the boost they need to stay ahead of mobile security gaps before they turn into issues.
I’ve been in the enterprise mobility space for more than 10 years, starting with my tenure as CEO at BoxTone, an enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform. There, I led the company in developing and delivering solutions to enterprise and government agencies that needed to manage, monitor, and secure mobile devices, users, and apps.
In 2014, Good Technology acquired BoxTone in order to provide customers a more comprehensive secure enterprise mobility solution. As Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development at Good Technology, I managed the mobile app partner ecosystem, led the acquisition process for critical capabilities, and established major strategic partnerships until the company’s acquisition by Blackberry.
At NowSecure my focus is on delivering quality products that provide measurable value to our customers. I’m also looking forward to collaborating with Founder and Board Member Andrew Hoog who remains a critical part of the organization and will focus on market enablement, product innovation, and strategy. NowSecure has nothing but exciting times ahead, including a number of new offerings ready for launch before the year is out.
