If you’re headed to San Francisco next week for RSA Conference 2017, we’d love to see you. We’ll talk mobile security, show you our ultimate tools for mobile app security testing, and give you a new T-shirt for your collection (Mr. Robot/Pikachu mash-up, anyone?). Take advantage of any one of the opportunities below to connect with NowSecure at RSA Conference 2017.
Conference track session: The challenges of mobile threat detection
NowSecure CEO Andrew Hoog will present twice as part of the conference’s Mobile & IoT Security track. He’ll give his talk, entitled “How Android and iOS Security Enhancements Complicate Threat Detection,” on Thursday, February 16 at 9:15 a.m. in Moscone West room 2002, and again on Friday, February 17 at 9:00 AM a.m. in Moscone West room 2001.
Andrew will cover five security enhancements in the Android and iOS platforms that present obstacles to defenders and incident responders and tips for how to overcome those challenges. In addition, Andrew will introduce and demonstrate his new open-source Mobile Triage tool.
The ios-triage tool extracts mobile artifacts from iOS devices for analysis, comparison, and correlation by defenders and incident responders. Platform security enhancements make it difficult, if not impossible, to gather helpful baseline data from a device in a healthy state. When it’s suspected that a device may be compromised, a lack of baseline data for comparison makes it difficult to identify anomalies in order to detect potential malicious activity. Andrew’s ios-triage tool is an attempt to provide more visibility to defenders and incident responders, and help them identify and detect mobile security incidents. If you can’t make it to RSA Conference 2017 this year, register for an encore webinar presentation of Andrew’s talk on February 21.
Briefing center: Mobile app security testing and DevOps
A hot topic at RSA Conference 2017 is the convergence of DevOps and application security and integrating automation into the software supply chain. Senior Solutions Engineer Jon Porter will apply those concepts specifically to building and deploying mobile apps on Thursday, February 16 at 12:10 p.m. in the South Expo Briefing Center.
Some developers, QA professionals, and security practitioners aren’t aware that aspects of mobile app security testing can be automated and integrated with their Continuous Integration practices. During his presentation “Nitro for Fast & Furious Mobile App Security: Continuous Testing for DevOps,” Jon will explain and demonstrate how to automate static and dynamic analysis of Android and iOS apps as part of every build cycle.
NowSecure at RSA Conference 2017 at booth N3334
Come experience the ultimate tools for mobile app security testing at the NowSecure booth N3334 in the North Expo Hall.
Witness the power of automated mobile app security assessments with Lab Automated in the booth where we’ll demonstrate how you can:
- Run a full mobile security assessment in less that 15 minutes with live screenshots
- View detailed reports that developers and executives alike can quickly understand
- Build automation strings to unlock deeper code coverage in automated assessments
If in-depth penetration testing is more your speed, come to the booth and see how adding Lab Workstation to your workflow:
- Provides a turnkey mobile app testing environment right out of the box
- Consolidates your favorite open-source tools and more into one purpose-built toolkit
- Facilitates assessing an app’s security posture across the entire mobile attack surface
The booth will be fully staffed with mobile app security experts happy to discuss mobile app security in general, talk through any mobile security challenges you’re experiencing, or walk you through a hands-on demonstration of any one of our mobile app security solutions. We’ll also have two new additions to our NowSecure / Pokemon mash-up T-shirt series on hand. Stop by and grab one. For more information about how NowSecure is participating, see our RSA Conference 2017 event page. We hope to see you there!
