Berg will assume responsibility for day-to-day product operations as well as the long-term roadmap for all viaForensics products including conception, design, development and go-to-market strategy.
viaForensics’ suite of products includes viaProtect, which helps enterprise and consumers secure their mobile devices, viaLab, which lets developers and other organizations test in-house and 3rd party apps for vulnerabilities, and viaExtract, which assists professionals with forensic data acquisition.
“The addition of Dave to our team is a huge win for viaForensics. We’ve already achieved substantial traction with our existing product line, but for us to go to the next level in market reach and delivery of key features to customers, a strong leader like Dave will be invaluable.”
- viaForensics CEO and co-founder Andrew Hoog
Berg has over 15 years of experience in the mobile industry, and has particular expertise in protocol design, mobile performance and application performance engineering. Most recently he led product strategy at Shunra Software, where his innovations were a central factor in the company’s acquisition by HP earlier this year. Prior to that he contributed his expertise to companies including Motorola, Ixia and ipNetFusion.
“The addition of Dave to our team is a huge win for viaForensics,” said CEO and co-founder Andrew Hoog. “We’ve already achieved substantial traction with our existing product line, but for us to go to the next level in market reach and delivery of key features to customers, a strong leader like Dave will be invaluable.”
“viaForensics has impressed me from the get go, because they have extremely talented people and a wealth of intellectual property. Their approach is to collaborate with end-users to make the world a better and safer place,” said Berg. “Our biggest challenge will continue to be educating the public so that people think about mobile data security sooner rather than later. Our latest product, viaProtect, which gives any consumer the power to protect their data, will be a huge part of that strategy. Moving forward you’ll see us continue to demystify security on mobile devices, while interconnecting our products so that our customers get even more value.”
About NowSecure
NowSecure helps enterprises secure and govern AI risk inside mobile apps. As AI enters apps through generated code, agentic workflows, embedded SDKs, third-party models and opaque dependencies, security and risk teams need proof of what shipped apps actually contain and what data they move. NowSecure analyzes mobile app binaries and runtime behavior on real devices to surface hidden AI, map data flows, validate third-party components and produce evidence for remediation, compliance and governance. The result is mobile AI visibility that generic device, cloud, application security and AI governance tools cannot fully provide.
