We’re still catching our breath from the whirlwind that was RSAC 2015, but here are a few highlights from San Francisco last week:
We launched NowSecure Lab™, our mobile app assessment product, in both standard and premium cloud editions. The beta release enables automated static code security analysis of Android and iOS mobile apps. Leading developers and security analysts worldwide count on NowSecure Lab as a comprehensive solution for mobile app security assessments. Learn more.
We also released a beta of NowSecure Intelligence™, our mobile threat analytics product. A global picture of mobile security can be viewed as an interactive map that analyses over 104 million data points each day from over 170,000 mobile devices worldwide. Real-time threat analytics are provided, including the top vulnerabilities currently facing the mobile ecosystem.
We presented breaking research to highlight why mobile security is different. We analyzed more than 62,000 mobile apps offered through Apple’s App Store and through Google Play. Our study revealed that almost 50% of mobile Android applications have at least one high risk security or privacy flaw. The gaming category had the most issues, but interestingly banking apps can have problems too.
We gave a presentation at the briefing center for those wanting to learn more about how insecure “leaky apps” are shifting the industry’s focus from mobile malware detection to strategies for proactively protecting data.
We demonstrated new products at our Expo booth and registered users for a FREE month of the beta cloud edition of NowSecure Lab, our cloud-based mobile app security assessment solution, allowing users to perform automated code analysis and generate detailed security reports (Want the same benefit? Attend the webinar May 7th, details below…).
We had a presence at the Department of Homeland Security booth where we helped tell visitors about how SBIR grants are funding innovation in the private sector to help the nation achieve a stronger cybersecurity posture.
